Benjamin Tetteh replaces Samuel Afful as Ghana name an attacking line-up to begin their Africa Youth Championships quest in Senegal.
The national under 20 side play South Africa at 1630 GMT knowing that coach Sellas Tetteh has never won his first group game at any Under 20 Africa Youth Championships before.
The former Liberty Professionals coach has been at the tournament twice before in 2009 and 2013.
Joy Sports' correspondent Benedict Owusu, who is with the Black Satellites at their base in Mbour, reports that
Afful's injury means the first-choice striker is replaced by the Dreams FC player.
Afful had been favoured by team coach Sellas Tetteh until this point.
Tetteh plays as the main striker while Kassim and Attobrah will be on the flanks.
Ghana is in Group B alongside Zambia, and Mali as well.
Ghana U-20 XI v South Africa U-20: Mutawakilu Seidu, Owusu Bempah, Patrick Asmah, Joseph Aidoo, Joseph Adjei, Yaw Yeboah, Kofi Yeboah, Asiedu Attobrah, Prosper Kassim, Benjamin Tetteh, Clifford Aboagye.
