With praise and worship interspersed with prayers, members of International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) ushered in 2009, declared by the General Overseer, Pastor Mensa Otabil as year of supernatural.
He therefore, urged Christians to be prayerful, win souls and live a spirit filled life to experience the supernatural. Delivering the sermon at a watch night service in Accra and quoting from Psalm 40, Pastor Otabil challenged Christians to count their blessings and be grateful for the numerous blessings the Lord had bestowed on them.
He said in the supernatural realm those who abide by the dictates of scriptures would be favoured beyond their imagination, attain growth and divine intervention.
Pastor Otabil explained the supernatural as a process where human beings as humanly as possible leave their spiritual aspect in God's care adding "When supernatural move, it facilitates Christians to move at a faster pace which under normal circumstance would not happen." "Let God stand, ran and move in your life so that your efforts in 2009 would be a year of great testimony," he said. The congregation prayed for peace in the country to move in the right direction and wished all Christians well in 2009.
