Two persons have been arrested in connection with the Zakoli shooting incident in the Yendi Municipality of the Northern Region.
The suspects, a lady aged 31 and a 27 year old man, have been remanded into Police custody to help with investigations.
The Police in the region have described one of the suspects as Kingpin in the Zakoli shooting.
It will be recalled that eight people were killed by unknown gunmen in Zakoli in what community members believe is a reprisal attack on the death of a Konkomba man.
Yet another Fulani Herdsman has been shot dead in Kogyili in the Tatale District of the Northern Region.
The Northern Regional Crime Officer, Superintendent Bernard Baba Ananga who confirmed the shooting and the attack said the motive is unknown but the Police have been investigating the shooting.
Meanwhile, the General Secretary of the Tabital Pulakuu International Ghana Chapter, Yakubu Musah Barry has called on the Ghana Police Service to speed up with investigations into the Zakoli shooting incident.
Mr Yakubu Barry in a press release called on the Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare, to act as soon as possible.
He said the Fulani community is losing patience and if nothing is done to bring the perpetrators to book, they will advise themselves.
"To be frank with you, we can't control our people anymore. They are running out of patience and the security must act very fast to bring those people to book, this is not the first time we are going through this but we don't get the justice," he said
Mr Yakubu Barry said one more person has been killed, bringing the number of murdered Fulani's to nine in just 11 days.
He said the security agencies seem to be reluctant in dealing with these killings.
Mr Barry also raised concern over the issue of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) not being able to offer the necessary help needed to the people of Zakoli as promised by the Vice President, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia.
He said the victims are still under the mercy of the weather and appealed for support for the victims
