About 17 staff of the National Health Insurance Authority have been sacked.
The workers who range from managers to national service persons are being accused of committing offences including fraud, falsification of records, vacation of post and many others.
Deputy Corporate Affairs Director of the NHIA, Eric Ametor-Quarmyne tells Joy News the dismissed staff will also face prosecution.
Meanwhile, the Upper West regional manager of the NHIA is appealing to the government to enact a law for insurance schemes to give part of the premium they collect to take care of accident victims.
Mr Zuri made the appeal at a sod-cutting ceremony for new office complex for the region.
