A district magistrate's court at Ekumfi Essakyire has jailed a fisherman who attempted to steal a boat and net at Ekumfi Asarfa 15 months in hard labour.
Cobbina Owone, 32, pleaded guilty.
Police Chief Inspector John Kingsley Biney told the court that on June 8 the convict was found unfastening the boat that had been anchored at the beach at Asarfa.
When he was challenged he could not give any tangible reasons and was arrested and sent to the police station.
