A 37-year-old farmer, Akwasi Bio at Atobiase near New Edubiase who stabbed to death one Kwasi Obeng on June 21 and fled, has been arrested at his hideout at Adansi-Hwidiem and handed over to the police.

He has been put before the New Edubiase magistrate’s court presided over by Mr. Stephen Tabiri on a provisional charge of murder.

Bio’s plea was not taken and was remanded into prison custody to re-appear on July 25, 2008.

The accused was said to have engaged in an argument with Obeng during which he pulled a knife and stabbed Obeng in the chest and fled.

Obeng was taken to the New Edubiase Government Hospital where he was pronounced death.
