Poetry: You need a face

Soon come the days
And you’d feel you need a face
Crumbling under a heavy load
You’d wish to hop like a toad

Then your imaginations tease you
And make you feel you are huge
But that’s a lie, don’t believe it
It’s too bitter, don’t eat it

Oh remember, you need a face
But one full of grace
That makes life grin in peace
Yes it’s true
He will wipe your blue
Seal your gaping hole
Till you are firm and whole

Surely, you need a face
Down from heaven he came
I guess you know his face
His name is Jesus Christ
