Chalé Global, a network of modern explorers bonded through activity, culture, and spirited expression, is set to mark the International Day of Friendship with the “Chalé Day” event on August 3, at Untamed Empire, Accra.
The International Day of Friendship, proclaimed in 2011 by the United Nations General Assembly, emphasizes the importance of friendship between peoples, countries, cultures, and individuals in inspiring peace efforts and building bridges between communities.
Celebrated annually on July 30th, this day features events, activities, and initiatives that promote dialogue, solidarity, and mutual understanding among nations, communities, and people.
Aligned with these values, Chalé Day aims to bring together people from diverse backgrounds to bond through activities involving sharing, creating art, and expressing culture.
“This is a perfect occasion to highlight the importance of bonding as a community, expressing ourselves culturally, and sharing the good vibes that unite us all,” said Karrie Sagoe, Community Manager at Chalé Global.
“We are starting with a live podcast from the Chalé Store on July 30th, open to our community to engage and share experiences about the importance of friendship on a global scale. This will be followed by the ‘Chalé Day’ event on August 3rd, 2024.”
Chalé Day as an experiential event is highlighted by a collaborative paint session on a large canvas, alongside interactive activities including games, and challenges.
The event is open for partnerships and collaborations, inviting artists, cultural enthusiasts, tourists, and organisations to join in celebrating our shared human experience in a memorable and impactful way.
Whether you’re an artist looking to share your talent, a musician eager to share your voice with the community, a business interested in sponsoring meaningful projects, or simply someone who believes in the power of friendship, your participation is welcome.
Attendees are encouraged to come in pairs.
